Amperry is an innovative start-up that offers a daily power bank rental service. Through a combination of IoT stations and a web app, a user picks up a portable power bank to recharge his electronic devices (smartphones and others). At the end of use, he can conveniently return it to any other station, paying a flat fee for the service every 24 hours. In less than two years, more than 400 stations have been positioned in numerous Italian cities and almost 10,000 users have been reached. The recharging service is useful both for the end consumer and for companies and public bodies. Currently, the power bank is able to charge smartphones, headphones, electronic cigarettes and small tablets, but the company is working on an innovative solution (available by the end of the year), which will include multi-service totems and power banks that can also charge laptops.
