Electricity Maps is a global API platform that allows connected devices to reduce their emissions and costs by informing them about the best time to consume electricity. Electricity Maps is for example used in Samsung's SmartThings Energy App and by Google to change the time and location of their datacenter energy usage. They also have a popular free app which is used by conscious consumers, energy experts and heads of state to understand global electricity grids and their varying CO2 emissions.
