Currently Editor of the 8K Association newsletter, Bob Raikes is a very experienced display specialist. After ten years on the sales and marketing side of the monitor industry (including five years as UK Managing Director of the specialist monitor supplier, Eizo Corp.), in 1994 he established Meko Ltd which became the leading source of market research on the European monitor, TV and digital signage businesses. He published the subscription newsletter Display Monitor for 25 years, selling the title to DSCC. IDC acquired his research business. He bought the Display Daily web publishing business in 2014 and in 2022 sold that business to Jon Peddie Research. He continues to be the editor of the 8K Association monitor newsletter and also writes for Information Display, the journal of the SID.
