Head of Campaign Marketing (all genders) Permanent employee, Full-time · Berlin

Your mission
The Head of Campaign Marketing, reporting to the Managing Director, will play a crucial role at IFA. This position involves managing the campaign Marketing team and ensuring the marketing strategy for the IFA event meets our goals, from revenue generation to acquiring specific attendee profiles.The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing all-rounder with proven leadership abilities, a solid understanding of commercial operations, and a track record of delivering growth across various channels. Experience in creating and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns and leading a diverse team is essential. The candidate should be analytical, data-oriented, and possess creative flair and exceptional attention to detail. A fast-paced, dynamic environment should be familiar territory, along with experience in managing agencies and freelancers.

Campaign Strategy & Delivery:   

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies, including branding, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans 
  • Introduce innovation to how the IFA brand comes to life with our customers through a full funnel, test & learn approach exploring new channels and reaching new audiences  
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to align commercial marketing initiatives and demand generation goals with business objectives and growth targets 
  • Skilfully orchestrate agency relationships, across paid digital, creative and CRO, to ensure adherence to strategic goals and maximise campaign impact through effective communication and management 
  • Ensure effective presentation of campaign strategies and performance data to key stakeholders and collaborate efficiently with the wider IFA team to ensure smooth execution of plans 

Team Management & Leadership:   

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a high-performing marketing team, providing leadership, guidance, and opportunities for professional development 
  • Inspire and articulate a clear vision for the marketing team that aligns with the IFA’s strategic goals 
  • Manage day-to-day activities of the marketing team to ensure high-standards of output reflecting a deep understanding of our customers, market, and channels 
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement through 1:1 performance reviews, ensuring each team member has a clear development plan and goals 
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor team progress and success 

Data-Driven Approach:   

  • Utilise business intelligence, customer feedback, and insights to recommend and implement new ideas to enhance campaign performance and customer engagement 
  • Ensure delivery of comprehensive marketing reporting, from weekly event KPIs and revenue forecasts to post-event reports providing insights, analysis, and recommendations.  
  • Use data to forecast marketing-driven revenue and oversee the marketing budget to ensure commercial results and ROI

 
Your profile
Knowledge & Skills:  

  • Extensive experience in developing strategic frameworks and marketing plans that drive commercial results 
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with extensive experience in guiding and developing marketing teams through continuous, constructive feedback and fostering open communication 
  • Proven experience in multi-channel campaign creation and delivery  
  • Strong understanding of marketing performance metrics and optimisation tactics 
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices in copywriting, email, social media, paid media, websites, and partnership marketing, with in-depth knowledge in 2-3 channels 
  • Experience with marketing technology tools including marketing automation, CRM, social media management and website analytics 
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with an initiative to identify trends and gaps 
  • Proficiency in working with data sets, interpreting trends, and providing analysis and recommendations to support goals 
  • Proactive and energetic attitude with a tenacity to overcome bottlenecks and barriers 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
