Uwe is a chemist by training. His career at Unilever spanned from product developer, production manager, plant manager, member of the Board of Lever Faberg' Germany, General Manager Supply Chain, to Head of Global Procurement Unilever. He led up to 1500 employees introducing a unified global procurement function. During his time at Unilever, he had postings in Germany, the UK, Brazil, and Switzerland. For two years, he managed the INSEAD Social Innovation Centre as executive director. Current focus is on sustainability and strategy as CEO and owner of Prosolvo GmbH, as Senior Advisor for the Conference Board Global Sustainability Centre and as member of the Scientific Advisory Committee at EcoVadis.
